How to create a website demo video with AI
Create a demo video for your website with URL Demos: load a page, use AI to draft a narrated walkthrough, edit the steps, and render a video.
Start with one outcome
A useful website demo answers one question: what can someone accomplish here? Choose a single task, such as finding a product or exploring a feature. Keep unrelated screens out of the story.
Use a website you own or have permission to record. Avoid private customer information and check the website’s terms before loading or sharing its content.
Load the page in the studio
Open URL Demos, enter the website address, and browse to the point where the walkthrough should begin. The studio loads a preview of the page. Some websites restrict access or rely on behavior that does not work in the preview; check the page before generating steps.
Generate a first draft
Choose Generate demo, describe the task you want to show, and select a demo style and voice. For example: ‘Show how a visitor finds a workspace and opens its details.’ The AI produces narration and actions that become editable steps.
Treat the result as a draft, not a guaranteed recording plan. Review each action and its target, remove unnecessary steps, and correct narration that makes claims the website does not support.
Preview, edit, and render
Play the walkthrough and check that clicks, highlights, typing, and narration tell the same story. Adjust the steps and speech speed before recording. Speech-speed changes are processed locally without asking the voice model for a new clip.
When the demo is ready, select Render and grant the browser’s capture permission for the intended tab. Recording runs in your browser and the studio offers a WebM video download. Review the downloaded video before sharing it; rendering depends on your browser’s capture support and the selected recording source.
